July 27th, 2009: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club will be hosting their 4th annual BBQ Rib Dinner, club fundraiser, on Saturday August 28th, 2009.  It will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be located at St. John's Hall, in Woodslee (County Road 46).  Tickets are $20/each and are running out fast.

 

July 26th, 2010: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club will be holding a club meeting on August 18th, 2010 at the Essex Legion.  The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M..

 

June 25th, 2010:  The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club is hosting their third annual Kid's Fishing Derby on July 11th, 2010 from 9:00AM until 12:00Noon at Wagner's Orchards located at 1222 8th Concession Road in Maidstone.  See event flyer here...

September 3rd, 2009: Thanks to all those that made our 2009 Rib Dinner and Raffle our most successful yet.  According to our preliminary results the annual Gun Raffle has produced a profit of just over $4,500 and the Rib Dinner (and all related draws and the bar for the night) has produced a profit of nearly $5,600 (after expenses).  A big thank you to all who participated.

July 1st, 2009: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club (LSCC) is hosting their second annual Kid's Fishing Derby on July 12th, 2009 at Wagner's Orchards located at 1222 8th Concession Road in Maidstone.

March 31st, 2009: Due to a recent regulation passed under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, as of Wednesday, April 1st 2009, Sunday hunting will now be permitted in the Lakeshore municipality.  A list as well as the maps of all municipalities where Sunday gun hunting can occur can be found at the following Fish and Wildlife Internet Site under "Sunday Gun Hunting".  Information Updates for Hunters.

May 14th, 2008: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club (LSCC) is hosting their first annual Kid's Fishing Derby on July 13th, 2008 at Wagner's Orchards located at 1222 8th Concession Road in Maidstone.

 

The Kid's Fishing Derby is a day event open to all children interested in learning more about the outdoors and especially, fishing.  Each child is expected to do some fishing, have a free hot dog and drink, receive a prize and trophies will be handed out to winners in selected categories.  The day is all about education and fun - important for every child.

 

We have received donations from club members and sponsors for hot dogs, drinks and fishing rods and reels for the day.  We are looking for donations to help us provide prizes for each and every participant in our event.  We, at the LSCC, are hoping for your involvement as well!

 

May 13th, 2008: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club will be holding a club meeting on June 18th, 2008 at the Essex Legion.  The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M..

January 15th, 2008: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club will be holding a club meeting on January 23rd, 2008 at the Comber Legion located at 6420 Main Street (Hwy 77).  The meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M..

October 27th, 2007: Today the L.S.C.C. completed the second portion of the annual pheasant release.  Club members gathered early this morning to finish releasing the remaining 300 birds throughout the county.  Last Saturday, the club released 450 pheasants making a total of 750 birds this year.  The project once again has proved to be a great success.  Pictures of the release can be viewed in the photo gallery.

August 16th, 2007: The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club will be holding a club meeting on Wednesday August 29th, 2007 at the Essex Legion located at 103 Talbot Street North (Old #3).  The meeting will begin at 7:30 P.M..
