About Us:

The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club started out as a few key people getting together and talking about the good old days when pheasants were plentiful across the area and the first day of pheasant season symbolized the start of another hunting season.  Friends and family met for breakfast at the farm and then the hunters and their dogs started out for a great day outdoors.  After a few hours of exercise and plenty of shooting, the group returned to the farm where the birds were cleaned, stories were told and food and refreshments were enjoyed by all.  The afterhunt was always as entertaining as the hunt itself.  That feeling of an Opening Day had all but vanished in Lakeshore until 2004 when these same community-minded, avid hunting enthusiasts began discussing ways to bring back these great game birds to Lakeshore.  What started out as a release of 400 birds in 2004 has grown steadily each year with an expected release in 2007 of 750 pheasants and what started out as a few people wanting to do a pheasant release to rekindle some fond memories has grown into a full-fledged non-profit organization with over 100 members.

The Lakeshore Sportsmen and Conservation Club is trying to promote the annual pheasant release as well as activities that promote the heritage activities of hunting and fishing with a special emphasis on the youth.  We meet approximately 5 times a year and want the organization to grow both its membership as well as it's events.
